Step 1: Visit the Official Oman eVisa Portal

Go to the Royal Oman Police (ROP) official eVisa website: evisa.rop.gov.om

This is the only official government portal for Oman visa applications. Be cautious of third-party websites that charge inflated fees — always start from the official source.

Pro Tip: Use a desktop browser for the smoothest application experience. Some steps may not render properly on mobile.

Step 2: Create Your Account

Click on “New Applicant” to register for the first time. You will need:

• A valid email address
• A strong password
• Basic personal information (name as per passport, date of birth, nationality)

Once registered, verify your email address by clicking the link sent to your inbox. Then log in to begin your application.

Step 3: Select the Right Visa Type

On your dashboard, click “Apply for Visa” and choose the visa type that matches your travel purpose:

• Tourist Visa (Single Entry): For leisure travel, valid for 30 days
• Tourist Visa (Multiple Entry): For frequent travelers, valid for 1 year with each stay up to 30 days
• Business Visa: For professional meetings, conferences, or trade
• Visit/Family Visa: If visiting Oman residents or family

For most Indian tourists, the Single Entry Tourist Visa is the right choice.

Step 4: Fill in the Application Form

This is the most important step — accuracy matters. Fill in the following details carefully:

• Full name (exactly as on passport — no nicknames)
• Date of birth
• Passport number, issue date, and expiry date
• Nationality
• Intended date of arrival and departure
• Purpose of visit
• Accommodation details (hotel name or host’s address in Oman)
• Flight information (if available)

Double-check every field before moving forward. Mistakes here are the #1 reason for delays and rejections.

Step 5: Upload Required Documents

The portal will prompt you to upload supporting documents. Ensure they are:

• Clear and fully visible
• In JPEG or PDF format
• Under the file size limit specified on the portal (usually 2MB per document)

Step 6: Pay the Visa Fee Online

Once your form and documents are submitted, you will be directed to the payment gateway. Oman eVisa fees can be paid via:

• International credit cards (Visa, Mastercard)
• Debit cards enabled for online international transactions
• Some portals also accept PayPal

Save the payment receipt — you will need it as proof of application.

Step 7: Submit and Track Your Application

After payment, your application is submitted. You will receive:

• A confirmation email with your Application Reference Number
• Access to the tracking dashboard on the eVisa portal

Check your status regularly. Once approved, you will receive your e-Visa document via email. Print it out or save it on your phone — you need to present it at immigration in Oman.
